المؤمنون
al-Mu’minūn (The Faithful)
ٱلْمُؤْمِنُون
23:33
وَقَالَ
الْمَلَأُ
مِن
قَوْمِهِ
الَّذِينَ
كَفَرُوا
وَكَذَّبُوا
بِلِقَاءِ
الْآخِرَةِ
وَأَتْرَفْنَاهُمْ
فِي
الْحَيَاةِ
الدُّنْيَا
مَا
هَذَا
إِلَّا
بَشَرٌ
مِّثْلُكُمْ
يَأْكُلُ
مِمَّا
تَأْكُلُونَ
مِنْهُ
وَيَشْرَبُ
مِمَّا
تَشْرَبُونَ
wa-qāla l-malaʾu min qawmihi lladhīna kafarū wa-kadhdhabū bi-liqāʾi l-ʾākhirati wa-ʾatrafnāhum fī l-ḥayāti d-dunyā mā hādhā ʾillā basharun mithlukum yaʾkulu mimmā taʾkulūna minhu wa-yashrabu mimmā tashrabūna
A group of his people who disbelieved him and had called the Day of Judgment a lie and whom We had made prosperous in this life, said, "He is a mere mortal like you. He eats and drinks as you do.
