al-Baqarah (The Cow)
ٱلْبَقَرَة
2:225
لَّا
يُؤَاخِذُكُمُ
اللَّهُ
بِاللَّغْوِ
فِي
أَيْمَانِكُمْ
وَلَكِن
يُؤَاخِذُكُم
بِمَا
كَسَبَتْ
قُلُوبُكُمْ
وَاللَّهُ
غَفُورٌ
حَلِيمٌ
lā yuʾākhidhukumu llāhu bi-l-laghwi fī ʾaymānikum wa-lākin yuʾākhidhukum bi-mā kasabat qulūbukum wa-llāhu ghafūrun ḥalīmun
God will not take into account your inattentive oath. However, He will question you about what your hearts have gained. God is All-forgiving and Lenient.
