al-Baqarah (The Cow)
ٱلْبَقَرَة
2:114
وَمَنْ
أَظْلَمُ
مِمَّن
مَّنَعَ
مَسَاجِدَ
اللَّهِ
أَن
يُذْكَرَ
فِيهَا
اسْمُهُ
وَسَعَى
فِي
خَرَابِهَا
أُولَئِكَ
مَا
كَانَ
لَهُمْ
أَن
يَدْخُلُوهَا
إِلَّا
خَائِفِينَ
لَهُمْ
فِي
الدُّنْيَا
خِزْيٌ
وَلَهُمْ
فِي
الْآخِرَةِ
عَذَابٌ
عَظِيمٌ
wa-man ʾaẓlamu mimman manaʿa masājida llāhi ʾan yudhkara fīhā smuhū wa-saʿā fī kharābihā ʾulāʾika mā kāna lahum ʾan yadkhulūhā ʾillā khāʾifīna lahum fī d-dunyā khizyun wa-lahum fī l-ʾākhirati ʿadhābun ʿaẓīmun
Who is more unjust than those who strive to destroy the mosques and prevent others from commemorating the Name of God therein who could not enter the mosques except with fear. They, (the unjust ones), will be disgraced in this life and will receive great torment in the life hereafter.
