al-Kahf (The Cave)
ٱلْكَهْف
18:45
وَاضْرِبْ
لَهُم
مَّثَلَ
الْحَيَاةِ
الدُّنْيَا
كَمَاءٍ
أَنزَلْنَاهُ
مِنَ
السَّمَاءِ
فَاخْتَلَطَ
بِهِ
نَبَاتُ
الْأَرْضِ
فَأَصْبَحَ
هَشِيمًا
تَذْرُوهُ
الرِّيَاحُ
وَكَانَ
اللَّهُ
عَلَى
كُلِّ
شَيْءٍ
مُّقْتَدِرًا
wa-ḍrib lahum mathala l-ḥayāti d-dunyā ka-māʾin ʾanzalnāhu mina s-samāʾi fa-khtalaṭa bihī nabātu l-ʾarḍi fa-ʾaṣbaḥa hashīman tadhrūhu r-riyāḥu wa-kāna llāhu ʿalā kulli shayʾin muqtadiran-i
(Muhammad), tell them, "The worldly life resembles the (seasonal) plants that blossom by the help of the water which God sends from the sky. After a short time all of them fade away and the winds scatter them (and turns them into dust). God has power over all things.
