وَرَبُّكَ أَعۡلَمُ بِمَن فِي ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتِ وَٱلۡأَرۡضِۗ وَلَقَدۡ فَضَّلۡنَا بَعۡضَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ عَلَىٰ بَعۡضٖۖ وَءَاتَيۡنَا دَاوُۥدَ زَبُورٗا
Your Lord knows best whoever is in the heavens and the earth. Certainly, We gave some prophets an advantage over the others, and We gave David the Psalms.

[Pooya/Ali Commentary 17:55] Refer to the commentary of al Baqarah: 253 and Nisa: 163. Imam Jafar bin Muhammad as Sadiq said that Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa and the Holy Prophet were the five most distinguished messengers of Allah. The Holy Prophet said: "Allah has exalted His prophets over the angels and exalted me over all the prophets. After me, O Ali, you and your divinely chosen progeny (Imams of the Ahl ul Bayt) are the most exalted. The angels are our servants." (Umdatul Bayan).
