قُلْ

كُونُوا

حِجَارَةً

أَوْ

حَدِيدًا

qul kūnū ḥijāratan ʾaw ḥadīdan

Say, ‘[That is bound to happen] even if you should become stones, or iron,

Say: "(Nay!) be ye stones or iron,
