1. [1/260] Rijal al-Kashshi: Muhammad b. Masud from Ali b. al-Hasan from Muhammad b. al-Walid al-Bajali from al-Abbas b. Hilal from Abi al-Hasan (al-Ridha) عليه السلام. He [Abbas] said: He [the Imam] mentioned that Muslim the client [slave] of Ja’far bin Muhammad was a Sindhi.

Ja’far عليه السلام had said to him: ‘I hope that you live up to your name [i.e. Muslim – submitter]’. He [Muslim] was taught the whole Qur’an in his sleep and woke up having memorized it. Muhammad b. al-Walid said: He was from the children [i.e. people] of Sindh.
