433. From him, from Ali Bin Al-Hassan, from Mansour bin Yunus, from Abu Baseer, who has narrated the following: I said to Abu Abdullah عليه الصلاة والسلام about: “[16:98] So when you recite the Quran, seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Shaitan [16:99] Surely he has no authority over those who believe and rely on their Lord”, so he عليه الصلاة والسلام said; ‘O Abu Muhammad! By Allah عز وجل, he (la) overcomes the Believer upon his body but does not overcome his Religion. He (la) had overcome upon Ayub عليه السلام, so he (la) deformed his عليه السلام physique and did not overcome upon his عليه السلام Religion, and he (la) has overcome the Believers upon their bodies and does not overcome upon their Religion’. I said, ‘The Statement of the High: “[16:100] His authority is only over those who befriend him and those who associate others with Him.” He عليه الصلاة والسلام said: ‘The ones who associate with Allah عز وجل, he (la) overcomes upon their bodies as well as upon their Religions’.
