6. Abu Ali al-Ash ‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar fn al-Hajjal from Th’alabah from Muhammad ibn Qays who has narrated the following:

“I once asked abu Ja‘far , about the case of a man who gives preference to certain ones of his children. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, he can do so, and his women.’”
