3. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from ‘Uthman ibn Sa‘id from ‘Abd al-Karim al-Hamadaniy from abu Tamamah who has said the following:
“I once asked abu Ja‘far, al-Thaniy , saying, ‘Our land is cold. What do you say about wearing fur?’ He (the Imam) said, ‘Wear that which is from edible animals and verify (that it is from edible animals).”’
