عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عِيسَى عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ نَجِيحٍ
قَالَ كُنْتُ أُفْطِرُ مَعَ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) وَ مَعَ أَبِي الْحَسَنِ الْأَوَّلِ ( عليه السلام ) فِي شَهْرِ رَمَضَانَ فَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَا يُؤْتَى بِهِ قَصْعَةً مِنْ ثَرِيدِ خَلٍّ وَ زَيْتٍ فَكَانَ أَوَّلُ مَا يَتَنَاوَلُ مِنْهَا ثَلَاثَ لُقَمٍ ثُمَّ يُؤْتَى بِالْجَفْنَةِ .
1. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid from ‘Uthman ibn ‘Isa from Khalid ibn Najih who has said the following:
“I would break my fast with abu ‘ Abd Allah, and abu al-Hassan al-Awwal, ‘Alayhim al-Salam, in the month of Ramadan. First they would bring a bowl of Tharid (bread made in pieces in broth) with vinegar and oil, and at first he (the Imam) would take three morsels, then afterward a big bowl would come.”’
