أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ مُعَلَّى بْنِ خُنَيْسٍ
قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ( عليه السلام ) مَا أَكَلَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) وَ هُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ مُنْذُ بَعَثَهُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَ جَلَّ وَ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يَتَشَبَّهَ بِالْمُلُوكِ وَ نَحْنُ لَا نَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ نَفْعَلَ .
8. Abu Ali al-Ash‘ariy has narrated from Muhammad ibn ‘Abd al-Jabbar, from Safwan from Mu‘alla’ ibn ‘Uthman from Mu‘alla’ ibn Khunayth who has said the following:
“Abu ‘Abd Allah , has said that the Holy Prophet never ate while leaning against something, from the time Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, sent him as His Messenger. He (the Messenger of Allah) disliked sitting as kings, but we are not able to do so.’”
