عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ عَنْ بَعْضِ أَصْحَابِهِ رَفَعَهُ قَالَ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ( صلى الله عليه وآله ) مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ حَمْلٌ فَنَوَى أَنْ يُسَمِّيَهُ مُحَمَّداً أَوْ عَلِيّاً وُلِدَ لَهُ غُلَامٌ .
4. A number of our people have narrated from Sahl ibn Ziyad from certain persons of our people in a marfu ‘ manner who has said the following:
“The Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, has said, ‘If one’s wife is pregnant and he keeps in his intention to name him Muhammad or Ali, a boy will be born to him.’”
