5. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from ’Isma‘il ibn Marrar from Yunus from abu Basir who has said the following: “I once asked abu ‘Abd Allah عليه السلام, about ‘ Aqiqah : if it is obligatory or not. He (the Imam) said, ‘Yes, it is obligatory.’”
