2- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَمَّنْ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ زَوِّجُوا الأحْمَقَ وَلا تُزَوِّجُوا الْحَمْقَاءَ فَإِنَّ الأحْمَقَ يَنْجُبُ وَالْحَمْقَاءَ لا تَنْجُبُ.
2. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from his father from those who narrated to him who has said the following: “Abu ’Abd Allah , has said, ‘You can give in marriage to a dimwitted man but do not marry a dimwitted woman; a dimwitted man can have children (healthy ones) but a dimwitted woman cannot.”’
