6- عِدَّةٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِنَا عَنْ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَرْقِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عَلِيٍّ الْوَاسِطِيِّ رَفَعَهُ إِلَى أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ إِذَا كَبِرَتْ ذَهَبَ خَيْرُ شَطْرَيْهَا وَبَقِيَ شَرُّهُمَا ذَهَبَ جَمَالُهَا وَعَقِمَ رَحِمُهَا وَاحْتَدَّ لِسَانُهَا.
6. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from al-Barqiy from abu Ali al-Wasitiy in a marfu’ manner who has said the following:
“Abu Ja‘far , has said, ‘When woman becomes old both parts of her goodness vanish and both parts of wickedness remain. Her beauty goes and she becomes barren and her tongue becomes very sharp.’”
