4- عَلِيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْحَجَّاجِ عَنْ مِنْهَالٍ الْقَصَّابِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ (عَلَيْهِ السَّلام) لا تَلَقَّ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ (صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِه) نَهَى عَنِ التَّلَقِّي قُلْتُ وَمَا حَدُّ التَّلَقِّي قَالَ مَا دُونَ غَدْوَةٍ أَوْ رَوْحَةٍ قُلْتُ وَكَمِ الْغَدْوَةُ وَالرَّوْحَةُ قَالَ أَرْبَعُ فَرَاسِخَ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَيْرٍ وَمَا فَوْقَ ذَلِكَ فَلَيْسَ بِتَلَقٍّ.
4. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Hajjaj from Minhal al-Qassab who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah , once said, ‘You must not travel to meet the caravan of suppliers out of the city before other buyers; the Messenger of Allah, O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, prohibited it.’ I then asked, ‘What are its limits?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is less than a morning or evening’s journey.’ I then asked, ‘How much is that?’ He (the Imam) replied, ‘It is four farasikh (which is equal to six miles).”’ Ibn abu ‘Umayr has said, ‘Above this distance does not apply to “meeting suppliers.”
