4. Ali ibn Muhammad has narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah from Muhammad ibn Ali from ‘Abd al-Rahman ibn abu Hashim from Sabiq al-Sindiy from ‘Anbasah al-Warraq who has said the following:

“This is concerning my question before abu ‘Abd Allah , about the case of my selling al-Quran saying, ‘If you prohibit I stop selling.’ He (the Imam) asked, ‘Is it not the case that you buy pages and write down on them?’ I replied, ‘Yes, that is true and I put more work in it.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘It is not harmful.’”
