46. Sahl ibn Ziyad has narrated from Yahya ibn al-Mubarak from Ibrahim ibn Salih from a man from al-Ja’fariy who has said the following:

“In al-Madinah there was a man with us, called abu al-Qamqa’m who was unfortunate. He went to abu al-Hassan , and complained before him against his condition and informed him (the Imam) that wherever he goes for something he fails. Abu al-Hassan , said, ‘In your last prayer in the morning, say, ‘Free of all defect is Allah, most Great. I ask forgiveness from Allah and plead before Him for help through His generosity’, ten times.’ Abu Qamqa’m has said, ‘I kept doing it and after very little time a people from village came to me and told me that a man from my people has died and there no heir is found for him except me. I went with them and received his legacy which made me rich.’”
