Ali ibn Hatim, from Muhammad ibn Ja’far, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Khalid, from Ali ibn Hassan, from some of his companions, from a man, from Abu Abdillah عليه السلام, peace be upon him:
Imam al-Sadiq عليه السلام said: “All praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the One who is exalted and thus subdued (everything), and all praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the One who possesses dominion and thus measured (everything), and all praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the One who is hidden and thus knows (all things), and all praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the One who ‘gives life to the dead’ and causes the living to die, and ‘He عز وجل is over all things Powerful’. And all praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, before whose greatness everything has humbled, and all praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, before whose might everything has been humbled, and all praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, to whose power everything has submitted. All praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the One before whose dominion everything has submitted. And all praise is due to Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the One who does whatever He عز وجل wills, and no one else does what He عز وجل wills. O’ Allah سبحانه وتعالى, send blessings upon (Prophet) Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and include me in every good into which You عز وجل included Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, and remove me from every evil from which You عز وجل removed Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم and the family of Muhammad صلى الله عليه وعلى آله وسلم, may Allah’s blessings be upon him and upon them, and peace be upon him and upon them, and the mercy of Allah سبحانه وتعالى and His عز وجل blessings.’ And send abundant salutations. Then you perform two rak‘ahs.”
