Hadith #118

وَعَنْهُ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ اَلْحَكَمِ عَنْ سَيْفِ بْنِ عَمِيرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرٍ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ:« إِذَا دَخَلَ وَقْتُ صَلاَةٍ مَفْرُوضَةٍ فَلاَ تَطَوُّعَ»

And from him, from Ali ibn al-Hakam, from Sayf ibn ‘Umayrah, from Abi Bakr: (Imam) Ja’far ibn Muhammad , peace be upon him, said: "When the time of an obligatory prayer enters, there is no (valid) supererogatory (‘tatawwu’) prayer (to be performed)."
