20. Muhammad ibn Yahya and others have narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad from Ya’qub ibn Yazid from Yahya ibn al-Mubarak from ‘Abd Allah ibn Jabalah from Muhammad ibn al-Fudayl who has said the following:
“I once said to abu al-Hassan , ‘I pray to Allah to keep my soul in service for your cause, I had a healthy sheep for offering as a sacrifice. When I placed it on the ground to slaughter, it looked at me and it moved me emotionally but I slaughtered it.’ He (the Imam) said, ‘I would not have liked for you to do that. Do not bring up something like that to slaughter afterwards.’”
