11. A number of our people have narrated from Ahmad ibn abu ‘Abd Allah in a marfu‘ manner saying: “’Amir al-Mu’minin عليه السلام, once asked his son, al-Hassan عليه السلام, ‘My son, what is generosity?’ He replied, ‘It is providing assistance in both easy and difficult conditions.’”
