Narrated to us Muhammad bin Musa bin Mutawakkil: Narrated to us Abdullah bin Ja’far Himyari: Narrated to us Hasan bin Zareef from Salih bin Abi Hammad from Muhammad bin Ismail from Abil Hasan ar-Reza that he said: “One who dies without having an Imam, dies the death of the period of Ignorance.” He was asked, “All those who die without having an Imam die the death of the period of Ignorance?” He replied: “Yes, the Waqifi (those who stop) are infidels and the Nasibi (haters) are polytheists.”
