Hadith #25
وَ فِي رِوَايَةِ سَمَاعَةَ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ اَلسَّلاَمُ قَالَ:
"حَدُّ اَلزَّانِي كَأَشَدِّ مَا يَكُونُ مِنَ اَلْحُدُودِ".
In the narration of Sama'ah from Abu Abdullah
عليه السلام

"The punishment for adultery is the most severe of all prescribed punishments."
