Abu Abdullah Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام was asked: "What is the definition of generosity?" Imam عليه السلام replied: "It is to give from your wealth the rightful dues that Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Almighty, has obligated upon you, and to place it in its appropriate place."
