Chapter on the Legal Punishment for Drinking Alcohol and Reports Regarding Singing and Amusements
Hadith #10
وَ سَأَلَ رَجُلٌ عَلِيَّ بْنَ اَلْحُسَيْنِ عَلَيْهِمَا اَلسَّلاَمُ عَنْ شِرَاءِ جَارِيَةٍ لَهَا صَوْتٌ فَقَالَ "مَا عَلَيْكَ لَوِ اِشْتَرَيْتَهَا فَذَكَّرَتْكَ اَلْجَنَّةَ ".
A man asked Imam Ali ibn Al-Hussain
عليه السلام
about purchasing a bondwoman with a beautiful voice. Imam
عليه السلام
said: "There is no harm upon you if you buy her and she reminds you of Paradise."
