Hadith.2872 - Sa'id ibn Abdullah al-A'raj asked Abu Abdullah about a person who has not performed Hajj (a ṣarūra): "Can they perform Hajj on behalf of a deceased person?"
Imam
said: "Yes, if the ṣarūra does not have the means to perform Hajj for themselves. However, if they have wealth, they cannot do so until they perform Hajj for themselves from their own wealth. Performing Hajj on behalf of the deceased is valid whether the deceased had wealth or not."
