Muawiyah ibn Ammar narrated from Abu Abdullah عليه السلامregarding a man who brought a sacrificial camel that gave birth. Imam عليه السلام said: "He should slaughter it and its offspring. If the hady (sacrificial animal) was guaranteed but perished, he should purchase another in its place and another in place of its offspring."
