In a narration from Wahb ibn Wahb al-Qurashi, from Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام from his forefathers, from Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib عليه السلام who said: "There is no Zakat on the wealth of a mukatib (a slave under a contract for emancipation)."
