In another report from Abdullah ibn Sinan, he said: I asked him (Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام) "A slave has wealth in his possession. Is Zakat obligatory on it?" The Imam عليه السلام replied: "No." I then asked: "Is it obligatory on his master?" Imam عليه السلام replied: "No, because it has not reached the master, and it does not belong to the slave."
