Imam عليه السلام said regarding the words of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Mighty and Majestic: "Indeed, good deeds remove bad deeds" (Surah Hud 11:114). He عليه السلام explained, "The night prayer of a believer erases the sins committed during the day."
