Muawiya ibn Wahb asked Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام about a man and a woman praying in the same room. Imam عليه السلام said: "If there is a space of about a handspan (shibr) between them, She may pray beside him alone and he alone; there is no harm."
