Hadith.536 - The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood over the bodies of those killed at Badr, having gathered them into a well/pit, and said: “O’ inhabitants of the well, we have found what our Lord (azj) promised us to be true; have you found what your Lord (azj) promised to be true?” The hypocrites replied: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is speaking to the dead?" He then turned to them and said: "If they were permitted to speak, they would say, 'Indeed, the best provision is taqwā (God-consciousness).'"
