Imam Jafar ibn Muhammad Al-Sadiq عليه السلام was asked about the saying of Allah سبحانه وتعالى, the Exalted: 'They will have therein purified spouses.' [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:25] Imam عليه السلام said: 'The purified spouses are those who do not menstruate and do not experience postnatal bleeding.'
