Miserliness as the root of all vices

۳۷۸. وَقَالَ (عليه ‏السلام): الْبُخْلُ جَامعٌ لِمَسَاوِئِ الْعُيُوبِ، وَهُوَ زِمَامٌ يُقَادُ بِهِ إِلَى كُلِّ سُوءٍ.

378. Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said: Miserliness contains all other evil vices and is the rein with which one can be led to every evil.
