Fatherly affection strengthens bonds between sons

Hadith #379

٣٠٨. وَقَالَ (عليه ‏السلام): مَوَدَّةُ الْآبَاءِ قَرَابَةٌ بَيْنَ الْأَبْنَاءِ، وَالْقَرَابَةُ إِلَى الْمَوَدَّةِ أَحْوَجُ مِنَ الْمَوَدَّةِ إِلَى الْقَرَابَةِ.

308. Amīr al-mu’minīn, peace be upon him, said: Mutual affection between fathers creates a relationship between the sons. Relationship is more in need of affection than affection is of relationship.
