7. Ali ibn Ibrahim has narrated from his father from Hammad ibn ’Isa from Hariz from Harun ibn Kharijah who has said the following: “I once said to abu ‘Abd Allah , that my brother, Yusuf accepts employment from these people from which he has earned great amounts of wealth and has turned them into jewelries to avoid Zakat. Is there Zakat on it? He (the Imam) said, ‘Zakat is not due on jewelries; however, the loss that he has caused to himself in this way and depriving himself of the virtue of paying Zakat is greater than his fear of paying Zakat.”
