31. Ali has narrated from Ibn Abi ‘Umayr from Hammad from al-Halabiy who has said the following:
“Abu ‘Abd Allah , was asked about Qunut (supplication after recitation) in al-Witr: if there is a definite reading for it which is followed and recited. He (the Imam) said, ‘No, there is no definite reading for it. Praise Allah, most Majestic, most Glorious, and say, ‘O Allah, grant compensation to Muhammad and his family worthy of their services to Your cause, and ask Allah to forgive your great sins.’ He (the Imam) then said, ’Every sin is great.’”
