2. A group has narrated from Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn Sa‘id from Hammad ibn ‘Isa from al-Husayn ibn al- Mukhtar from Ali ibn ‘Abd al-‘Aziz from Murad ibn Kharijah who has said the following: “Abu ‘Abd Allah, ‘Alayhi al-Salam, has said, ‘On Friday morning, when the distance from the sun to the east becomes like the distance from the sun to the west at the time of al-‘Asr, I perform six Rak‘at. When it (morning) is wider, I perform six Rak‘at, when it is Zawal (declining of the sun toward the west at noontime), I perform two Rak‘at, then perform al-Dhuhr, then I perform six Rak‘at thereafter.’”
