Muhammad b. al-Hasan narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Saffar narrated to us from `Ali b. Muhammad al-Qasani from Sulayman b. Dawud al-Munqiri from Yahya b. Sa`id from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq from his father .

Regarding the saying of Allah, “They ask you: ‘Is he more rightful?’ Say: ‘Yes, by my Lord, it is true.’” (10:53), he said: They – the people of Mecca – ask you – O Muhammad – about `Ali b. Abi Talib – is he an Imam? “Say: ‘Yes, by my Lord, it is true.’” (10:53)
