My father narrated to us. He said: Sa`d b. `Abdullah narrated to me. He said: Al-Haytham b. Abi Masruq al-Nahdi narrated to me from al-Hasan b. Mahbub from `Abdullah b. Sinan from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad . He said:

Allah revealed to Dawud : A servant from My servants may perform a deed for which I will gift him My Paradise. He said: So, Dawud said: O Lord! What is that deed? He said: Bringing happiness into My believing servant, even if by giving him a date. He said: So, Dawud said: The right of one who recognizes You is that he never loses hope in You.
