Al-Husayn b. Ibrahim b. Ahmad al-Mu’addab narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Abi `Abdillah al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Isma`il al-Barmaki narrated to us. He said: `Abdullah b. Ahmad b. Dahir narrated to us. He said: Al-Fadl b. Isma`il al-Kufi narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Salim narrated to us from his father. He said: I asked al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad and said to him: O son of the Messenger of Allah! What do you say regarding the Quran? So, he said:

It is the word of Allah, the saying of Allah, the Book of Allah, the inspiration of Allah and His revelation. It is the Glorious Book, and falsehood cannot come to it from before it or from behind it; a revelation from the Wise, the Praiseworthy.
