Muhammad b. al-Hasan b. Ahmad b. al-Walid narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Hasan al-Safar narrated to us from al-`Abbas b. Ma`ruf from `Ali b. Mahziyar from Ja`far b. Muhammad al-Hashimi from Abi Ja`far al-`Attar – a shaykh from the people of Medina. He said: I heard al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad say:

A man came to the Messenger of Allah (s) and said: O Messenger of Allah! My sins have become numerous, and my good work has weakened. So, the Messenger of Allah (s) said: Increase in prostrating, for it brings down sins just as a breeze brings down the leaves of a tree.
