Muhammad b. `Ali b. al-Fadl al-Kufi narrated to us in the Mosque of Amir al-Mu'minin in Kufa. He said: Muhammad b. Ja`far known as Ibn Tibyan narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Qasim al-Nahmi narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. `Abd al-Wahhab narrated to us. He said: Ibrahim b. Muhammad al-Thaqafi narrated to us. He said: Tawba b. al-Khalil narrated to us. He said: I heard Muhammad b. al-Hasan say: Harun b. Kharija narrated to us. He said: Al-Sadiq Ja`far b. Muhammad said to me:

How far is your house from the Mosque of Kufa? So, I informed him. So, he said: There has not been an Angel of Proximity nor a commissioned prophet nor a righteous servant that entered Kufa except that he prayed in it. Surely, the Messenger of Allah (s) passed by it on his Night Journey. He sought the angel’s permission, then prayed two units there. An obligatory prayer in it is worth one thousand prayers. A voluntary prayer in it is worth five hundred prayers. Sitting in it without [even] reciting the Quran is [considered] worship. So, go to it, even if you must crawl.
