Hadith #3

3 - حدثنا محمد بن علي ماجيلويه، قال: حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم بن هاشم، قال: سمعت رجلا من أصحابنا يقول: لما حبس هارون الرشيد موسى بن جعفر (عليه السلام)، جن عليه الليل، فخاف ناحية هارون أن يقتله، فجدد موسى (عليه السلام) طهوره، واستقبل بوجهه القبلة، وصلى لله عز وجل أربع ركعات، ثم دعا بهذه الدعوات، فقال: يا سيدي نجني من حبس هارون، وخلصني من يديه، يا مخلص الشجر من بين رمل وطين وماء، ويا مخلص اللبن من بين فرث ودم، ويا مخلص الولد من بين مشيمة ورحم، ويا مخلص النار من بين الحديد والحجر، ويا مخلص الروح من بين الاحشاء والامعاء، خلصني من يدي هارون. قال: فلما دعا موسى (عليه السلام) بهذه الدعوات، رأى هارون رجلا أسود في منامه، وبيده سيف قد سله، واقفا على رأس هارون، وهو يقول: يا هارون، أطلق عن موسى بن جعفر وإلا ضربت علاوتك بسيفي هذا. فخاف هارون من هيبته، ثم دعا لحاجبه، فجاء الحاجب، فقال له: اذهب إلى السجن، وأطلق عن موسى بن جعفر. قال: فخرج الحاجب فقرع باب السجن، فأجابه صاحب السجن، فقال: من ذا؟ قال: إن الخليفة يدعو موسى بن جعفر، فأخرجه من سجنك، وأطلق عنه. فصاح السجان، يا موسى، إن الخليفة يدعوك. فقام موسى (عليه السلام) مذعورا فزعا، وهو يقول: لا يدعوني في جوف هذه الليلة إلا لشر يريد بي. فقام باكيا حزينا مغموما آيسا من حياته، فجاء إلى عند هارون، وهو ترتعد فرائصه، فقال: سلام على هارون. فرد عليه السلام، ثم قال له هارون: ناشدتك بالله، هل دعوت في جوف هذه الليلة بدعوات؟ فقال: نعم. قال: وما هن؟ قال: جددت طهورا، وصليت لله عز وجل أربع ركعات، ورفعت طرفي إلى السماء، وقلت: يا سيدي خلصني من يدي هارون و شره، وذكر له ما كان من دعائه، فقال هارون: قد استجاب الله دعوتك. يا حاجب، أطلق عن هذا. ثم دعا بخلع فخلع عليه ثلاثا، وحمله على فرسه، وأكرمه، وصيره نديما لنفسه. ثم قال: هات الكلمات حتى أثبتها. ثم دعا بداوة وقرطاس، وكتب هذه الكلمات. قال: فأطلق عنه، وسلمه إلى حاجبه ليسلمه إلى الدار، فصار موسى بن جعفر (عليهما السلام) كريما شريفا عند هارون، وكان يدخل عليه في كل خميس (1).

Muhammad b. `Ali Majiluwayh narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us. He said: I heard a man from our companions say: When Harun al-Rashid imprisoned Musa b. Ja`far , night befell him. He feared that Harun may kill him. So, Musa renewed this purification, faced the qibla, prayed four voluntary units for Allah, then supplicated with this supplication: O my Master! Save me from the prison of Harun, and deliver me from his hands, O deliverer of the tree from the sand, clay, and water; O deliverer of milk from excretion and blood; O deliverer of the child from the placenta and the womb; O deliverer of fire from iron and stone; O deliverer of spirit from the intestines, deliver me from the hands of Harun. He said: When Musa supplicated with this supplication, Harun saw a black man in his dream. In his hand was a sword as he stood over the head of Harun, as he was saying: “O Harun! Let Musa b. Ja`far go. If you don’t, then I will strike your neck with this sword.” So, Harun feared his awesome aura, and he called for his gatekeeper. When the gatekeeper came, he said to him: Go to the prison and free Musa b. Ja`far. So, the gatekeeper went to the gate of the prison and knocked on it. The warden answered him and said: Who is this? He said: Surely, the caliph is calling for Musa b. Ja`far, so free him from your prison. So, the warden yelled: O Musa! The caliph calls for you. So, Musa stood suddenly, surprised and saying: He does not call for me tonight except to do an evil thing to me. So, he stood weeping, grieving, worried, and sorrowful about his life. He was taken to Harun shaking, so he said: Peace be to Harun (salam `ala harun). So, he responded, then Harun said to him: I adjure you by Allah, did you make any supplication in the middle of this night? So, he said: Yes. He said: What was it? He said: I renewed my purification, and I prayed four voluntary prayers for Allah, and I raised my sight to the sky, and I said: “O my Master! Deliver me from the hands of Harun and his evil”, and he mentioned what was left of his supplication. So, Harun said: Allah has answered your supplication. O gatekeeper, free him. Then, he called for a robe, and he put three robes onto him, and mounted him on his horse, and honoured him, and regretfully sent him off. Then, he said: Give me the words [to the supplication] so that I may memorize it. Then, he called for a tablet and wrote the words. He said: So, he sent him away, and he surrendered him to his gatekeeper so that he could send him to the house. So, Musa b. Ja`far became honoured by Harun, and he would visit him every Thursday.
