Muhammad b. Majiluwayh narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. Yahya al-`Attar narrated to us. He said: Muhammad b. al-Husayn b. Abi’l Khattab narrated to us from Muhammad b. Sinan from `Ammar b. Marwan from Sama`a from Abi `Abdillah al-Sadiq . He said:

Surely, Allah bestowed gifts upon a community, and they were not thankful, so it became a scourge for them; and He tried a community with afflictions, and they were patient, so it became a blessing for them.
