Ja`far b. Muhammad b. Masrur narrated to us. He said: Al-Husayn b. Muhammad b. `Amer narrated to us from his uncle `Abdillah b. `Amer from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Aban b. `Uthman from Sa`d b. Turayf from al-Asbagh b. Nubata. He said: Amir al-Mu’minin would say in his prostration:

I whisper to You, My Master, just as a servile slave whispers to his master. I request from You whilst knowing that You give without decreasing what is with You. I repent to You whilst knowing that none forgive sins except You. I rely on You whilst knowing that You have power over all things.
