Muhammad b. Ahmad b. `Ali b. Asad al-Asadi narrated to us in Ray in Rajab in 347 AH. He said: Muhammad b. Abi Ayyub narrated to me. He said: Ja`far b. Sanid b. Dawud narrated to us. He said: My father narrated to me. He said: Yusuf b. Muhammad al-Munkadir narrated to us from his father from Jabir b. `Abdullah. He said:

The Messenger of Allah (s) said: The mother of Sulayman b. Dawud said to Sulayman : “O my son! Beware of sleeping too much at night, for one who sleeps too much at night will be destitute [of good deeds] on the Day of Resurrection.”
