Ahmad b. Ziyad b. Ja`far al-Hamadani
narrated to us. He said: `Ali b. Ibrahim b. Hashim narrated to us from his father Ibrahim b. Hashim from Muhammad b. Abi `Umayr from Mu`awiya b. `Ammar from Abi `Abdillah . He said:
In Medina, there was a foolish (battal) man that the people would laugh at. This man wanted to get a laugh through `Ali b. al-Husayn . He said: So, `Ali
passed by, and two of his servants were behind him. So, the man came, removed the cloak from his neck, and ran away. `Ali
did not turn to him. So, they followed him and took the cloak back from him. So, they brought it back to him and dressed him in it. So, he said: Who is this? They said to him: This is a foolish man that the people of Medina laugh at. So, he said: Say to him: “For Allah is a day in which the invalidators (al-mubtilun) will lose.”
